Some more information about me!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey and Florida.
I attended the University of Miami (Go Canes!) for my undergrad, where I majored in Psychology and Criminology. I then attended Rutgers University for my Masters degree in Social Work.
I’m born and raised in New Jersey, but my family recently just moved to the Tampa, Florida area in January 2024. We love it here so far☀️
I have lived experience with OCD and identify as being in recovery from an eating disorder. I have been in my own therapy for the better part of a decade, and I believe that being a “therapist who sees a therapist” is one of my strongest assets as a mental health provider.
I gave a TEDx Talk at the University of Miami back in April 2022, where I talked about my own mental health journey and the importance of finding your “why”. I also have written articles for publications such as Psychology Today and The Mighty and have been interviewed on a number of podcasts. You can check out all my media work below.
I am also a support group facilitator for The National Alliance for Eating Disorders and I love working with the Alliance!
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strengths-based. I love using humor in my sessions and just being human. I also use a values-based approach and like to explore how we can still do “hard things” in the face of discomfort and uncertainty.
Upcoming Trainings/Certifications:
Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) - expected completion end of 2024/early 2025
